Dilled Carrots

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1 lb carrot, cut into 2 x 1/4 inch strips
  • 1 cup sliced celery (1/2 inch thick)
  • 2 tablespoons sliced green onions
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon dried dill weed
  • 1 (8 ounce) can sliced water chestnuts, drained
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley or 1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes

Recipe

  • 1 bring broth to a boil in large saucepan.
  • 2 add remaining ingredients except parsley.
  • 3 cover; reduce heat to medium.
  • 4 cook 10 to 15 minutes or until carrots are crisp-tender, stirring occasionally.
  • 5 drain.
  • 6 sprinkle with parsley.
