Dilled Green Peas (tilliherneet)

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 2 (10 ounce) packages frozen green peas
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons chopped shallots or 2 tablespoons green onions
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill weed
  • 2 tablespoons chopped pimiento
  • 1 cup shredded jarlsberg cheese

Recipe

  • 1 cook peas as package directs.
  • 2 melt butter in a small skillet over medium heat.
  • 3 add shallots or green onions; saute 2 minutes or until soft.
  • 4 stir in hot cooked peas, dill and pimiento.
  • 5 pour into a serving dish; sprinkle with cheese over top.
  • 6 serve immediately.
