Nancy's Dill Pickles

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 3 quarts water
  • 1 quart vinegar
  • 1 cup salt
  • 2 teaspoons dill seeds
  • 1/8 teaspoon alum
  • 20 -30 pickling cucumbers

Recipe

  • 1 boil water vinegar and salt in large pot.
  • 2 put cucumbers in canning bottles.
  • 3 add dill seed and alum.
  • 4 pour juice over cucumbers.
  • 5 put lids on and seal.
  • 6 * amount depends on how many jars you plan on using.
