Easy Cheesy Salsa Potatoes

Total Time: 1 hr 10 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese (2 cups)
  • 1 cup old el paso thick 'n chunky salsa
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cheddar cheese soup
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 (24 ounce) package frozen hash brown potatoes, thawed
  • 1/2 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine, melted

Recipe

  • 1 heat oven to 350°f.
  • 2 grease 13x9-inch (3-quart) baking dish or pan.
  • 3 in large bowl, combine cheese, salsa, onion, sour cream, soup and pepper; mix well.
  • 4 add potatoes; mix well.
  • 5 spread in greased dish.
  • 6 in small bowl, combine bread crumbs and butter; mix well.
  • 7 sprinkle over potatoes.
  • 8 bake at 350°f.
  • 9 for 45 to 60 minutes or until cheese is melted and potatoes are tender.
