Sauteed Dandelions

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 2 bunches greens, washed well
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 red onion, very thinly sliced
  • 1 garlic clove, pressed
  • 1 pinch red pepper flakes

Recipe

  • 1 cut stems and soak greens in sink full of water. agiate, drain and repeat to make sure all sand is removed. chop roughly.
  • 2 place in salted boiling water and blanch for 4-5 minutes.
  • 3 meanwhile, add oil in fry pan on medium heat add garlic and onion and red pepper flakes and heat till onions are soft and garlic fragrant.
  • 4 add blanched stems to oil and toss. saute until tender, 10 minutes or so.
