Donna's Caramel Corn

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 4 quarts popped corn (about 2 microwave bags)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup margarine, melted
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup karo
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda

Recipe

  • 1 in a heavy pan, combine sugar, margarine, butter and karo syrup.
  • 2 bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes stirring.
  • 3 stir in baking soda. this will cause a foaming effect.
  • 4 pour over popped corn. stir until corn is well covered.
  • 5 spread on a prepared surface and let cool.
  • 6 break apart and store in an airtight container.
