Doves In Cornbread Stuffing

Total Time: 1 hr 30 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onion
  • 2 tablespoons snipped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 3 cups cornbread stuffing mix
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon marjoram leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 8 whole boneless dove breasts

Recipe

  • 1 heat oven to 350°f.
  • 2 lightly grease a 2 quart casserole dish.
  • 3 over medium heat, cook and stir celery, onions, and parsley in butter until tender.
  • 4 add stuffing mix and remaining ingredients (except dove breast).
  • 5 mix until moist.
  • 6 place half of mixture in the bottom of casserole dish.
  • 7 arrange breasts on top.
  • 8 cover breasts completely with remaining stuffing mixture.
  • 9 bake uncovered until tender.
  • 10 about 1 hour.
