Doreen's Dinner Rolls

Total Time: 2 hrs 12 mins Preparation Time: 2 hrs Cook Time: 12 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons yeast
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 cups warm milk
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 7 1/2 cups flour (approximate)

Recipe

  • 1 combine yeast, water, and a little of the sugar in a small bowl.
  • 2 mix sugar, milk, eggs, butter, and salt in a large bowl.
  • 3 after yeast has risen a little, add to milk mixture.
  • 4 gradually add flour until a soft but not-too-sticky dough has formed.
  • 5 knead 6-7 minutes.
  • 6 let dough rise in buttered bowl until doubled in size.
